The Northwest Regional Fire Training Center, established in 1990 through the efforts of countless volunteers, provides a needed training facility that meets the requirements of an evolving emergency service.

The NWRTC provides the region with the required classrooms, burn buildings, training tower, and special service areas needed to meet the training and educational requirements of urban and rural emergency responders. The staffing is composed of volunteer and paid certified fire service instructors.

NWRTC is proud to be a state-licensed proprietary school and approved to provide initial EMS education up to the EMT level.

For many many years, we had a great working relationship with Munson Regional EMS Education to facilitate EMR/MFR & EMT courses at the RTC. Last year after Munson discontinued their EMS Education department, we partnered with Great Lakes Bay Consortium for EMS Education to continue offering the EMT program.

We are proud to announce that we have been approved as an Emergency Medical Services Education Program Sponsor by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Big thank you' s to Chief Case & Chief Parker for their hard work on this accomplishment. We currently have 22 students enrolled in our first EMT class. Thank you also to I/C Chase Schelling and I/C Scott Moore for being the Co-lead instructors for the course.

for those EMS providers that are interested in helping with the practical classes, please email: [email protected] or [email protected]
